JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Marketplace for Kids will be offered virtually this year.

For more than 25 years, Marketplace for Kids has teamed up with communities statewide for Education Days, one-of-a-kind experiences where students explore careers, technology, and the future through hands-on activities that are rooted in entrepreneurship and innovation.

Executive Director Bob Heitkamp says the Region 6 Advisory Committee, which oversees the Jamestown area, decided to move to a virtual education day. He says they’ll have multiple recorded classes available for area students and schools to sign up for.

Classes include electrical keychains, careers in astronomy, lessons about money, pet sitting, team building, what a firefighter does, and more.

Registration for the day is currently open and closes April 22nd for Region 6. In past events, students were also able to show off projects from inventions to business ideas. Heitkamp says this will also be featured during the virtual event.

Videos will be opened to participating schools for the week of May 11th through the 14th.
