BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – On Saturday, April 24th, Jamestown High School and Jamestown Middle School chess clubs participated in the North Dakota State Scholastic Chess Tournament in Bismarck. Jamestown placed 2nd in the team division for both middle school and high school.
Freshman Dovud Sulaymonov placed 2nd in the high school individual division, so close to being able to represent North Dakota at the national scholastic chess tournament. Dovud won four out of the five chess matches played, the most victories at the state chess tournament by any Blue Jay. Congratulations chessletes!
