SIOUX CITY, IA. (NewsDakota.com) – The postseason awards for the University of Jamestown women’s volleyball team continued to roll in on Tuesday afternoon as Jon Hegerle was named the NAIA Coach of the Year and Kalli Hegerle and Anna Holen earned First Team All-American Honors.

Hegerle and Holen become the first Jimmies ever to earn First Team All-Americans. Hegerle was tied for the team-high in hitting percentage this season at .305 and ranked second in kills behind just Holen who was first with 322 kills. Holen also finished second on the team in digs and both Holen and Hegerle were named to the AVCA All-Region team earlier this week.

Jamestown finished with a 30-2 overall record on the year and was ranked first in the country from the first poll of the year to the last. It was the only time in UJ history that any team has held the number one overall ranking. For Coach Hegerle, this is the first time in his career receiving the NAIA Coach of the Year award, and he was also named the GPAC Coach of the Year.
