With this being the final week of the regular season, Coach Matt Nielson is saying this, “After being away at Grand Forks Central on Thursday, we were away at Fargo Davies for a back-to-back on Friday. The doubles were rough as we didn’t get our feet going until it was too late. In singles, we played very tight points and matches at #1 through #3. Trey got going in singles. His feet were on fire leading to his shots being on fire as he cruised to a 6-3 first set victory. Emmett was very coachable and executed in his first set. We have one week left of the regular season with home matches on Tuesday and Thursday. We only have two practices this week. We need to be focused on being up and ready to play from the first point. We need to focus on our feet, split stepping, and exploding to the ball to attack it. We need to shore up our unforced errors and individual liabilities on the court. Our team has potential to make a post season run if we can make these things happen. Let’s do it!”
