JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Regional Medical Center (JRMC) has always had the support of the Foundation and Auxiliary to maintain services.

To accomplish this, both have held various fundraisers and events to continue their mission.

JRMC Foundation Director Lisa Jackson says the December 3rd & 4th event is open to all with all funds going to the Jamestown Regional Medical Center. The Auxiliary also staffs the JRMC Gift Shoppe, where sales also help the hospital and their operations and equipment.

Since 1973, the JRMC Auxiliary has raised more than $434,000 for the JRMC.

Jackson says another event started by the Auxiliary and now hosted by the JRMC Foundation is the Tree of Love. She says it’s a 24 year tradition for the hospital.

Jackson says the JRMC Cancer Center has doubled the number of infusions a month to more than 200. In order to respond to the need of their patients, they added the chaplaincy and bereavement care, where hospice guides more than 100 families through loss each year.

She added the new equipment will provide less invasive cancer screenings and prevention, emergency x-ray stretcher, and more.

Right now, Jackson says they’re welcoming anyone to join in the tradition of adding a dedicated ornament ‘in honor’ or ‘in memory’ of caregivers who have made a difference.

A dedication and ornament pickup will be held on Tuesday, December 14th. The event will be streamed on Facebook at 11:30 AM with the JRMC drive-thru ornament pick-up from 4 to 6 PM.
