JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The 2022 Stutsman County Boys’ Basketball Tournament will commence on Thursday, January 6th and will continue through Saturday at the Jamestown Civic Center. There will be four games each day starting at 3pm on Thursday and Friday and 2pm on Saturday. The Ellendale Cardinals beat the Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rebels in the championship last year, the Cardinals are the number one seed from District 5 this year and currently rated eighth in the state and will play against Kidder County in the third game of the day on Thursday around 6pm. The tournament consists of four teams from District 5 and four teams from District 6, all from Region 3 and they are ranked 1-4 from each district. The entire tournament will be broadcast on Thunder Country 98.3 and newsdakota.com. Here is the first day schedule:

3pm – D6 #1 Medina/Pingree/Buchanan vs. D5 #4 Griggs/Midkota

430pm – D5 #2 EKM vs. D6 #3 Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter

6pm – D5 #1 (8) Ellendale vs. D6 #4 Kidder County

730pm – D6 #2 South Border vs. D5 #3 Carrington
