JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Since 1967, Hillcrest Elementary in Jamestown has been providing faith-based learning for grades 1-8. Recently, the school introduced Kindergarten as part of their education offering.
Parent Brenda Jarski-Weber attended Hillcrest Elementary as well as her three children. She says Hillcrest Elementary is a two teacher school with two classrooms and is a Christian-based school.
To showcase their offerings for parents and future students, Jarski-Weber says they will be holding a preview day on Friday, February 18th from 8 AM to 12 PM.
Weber added they have planned events in April too for the public and their students and parents. The first is a book fair on April 13th with a small presentation that evening at the school.
Doors open at 5 PM for the event with supper served at 5:30 and a program at 6:30 PM. The event is open to all for a free-will offering.
As part of the curriculum at Hillcrest Elementary, Jarski-Weber says they hold Hillcrest Help-out day on April 27th where students get hands-on in volunteering for the community.
Students have collected trash along Mill Hill, resulting in 7 bags of trash collected. Other areas students have helped include the hospital and NDSU Extension Service.
Those interested can call the school at 701-252-5409 or visit hillcrestnd.org for more information. Hillcrest School can also be followed on Facebook.
