VALLEY CITY, N.D. (Newsdakota.com) – More than a dozen vehicles were involved in a chain reaction crash on I-94 west of Valley City about 10:34am on Friday, February 18th.

North Dakota Highway Patrol troopers had to close a small stretch of the westbound lane of the interstate for nearly three hours to process these multiple crashes in the westbound lane on I-94 about 5 miles west of Valley City.

Captain Bryan Niewind said three people were injured in these multiple series of crashes.

Valley City Rural Fire District Chief Scott Magnuson said rescue crews extricated two individuals at the scene.

Niewind said three crash victims were transported to the hospital in Valley City, one of those was transported to a Fargo hospital for addition treatment of their injuries.
