JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – One of the area’s largest fundraising events, the annual Runnin’ O’ the Green looks to continue and grow in it’s 43rd year on March 19th.
Started by Larry “Knobby” Knoblich in 1979, a lot has changed since that first run among friends.
Knoblich says the first few runs were only meant for fun.
Now, thousands of participants and money raised later, the event returns for its 43rd edition. Knoblich says they have two causes they fundraise donations for through the run.
While the cause for the run is established, Knoblich says it’s also a boon for the community’s economy.
The cost to pre-register is $30 and that includes a t-shirt. Day-before and day-of registration is $10 with all proceeds being donated.
