JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Final dollars raised are being tallied, but run organizers are happy with the registered turnout in this year’s Runnin O’ The Green.

Co-organizer Melissa Mikkelson reports 1,100 registered for the 44th annual pub crawl.

“That also happened at the Buff, Club 1883, and Elks after the start,” she stated. “Still a lot downtown that didn’t register so we encourage and push the registration a little more each year.”

The run has raised thousands of dollars for Elk’s Camp Grassick and local cancer patients. Final totals aren’t known, but Mikkelson says $25,000 have been raised with more donations arriving from bars and more.

“[We] received a few personal donations from individuals in Jamestown of $500 or more,” Mikkelson added.

Final totals raised will be reported later this week.
