JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – “Dakota Spotlight: The House on Sweet and Seventh”, is an Emmy Award-winning documentary examining an unthinkable 1998 crime in North Dakota.
It’s production also has local ties.
Arts Center Executive Director Mindi Schmitz says the documentary tells a heartbreaking true story.
The hour-long film documents the heartbreaking murders of Barbara and Gordon Erickstad, who were brutally killed in their home by their son, 18-year-old Brian Erickstad, and his friend, 27-year-old Robert Lawrence in September 1998.
Schmitz says Fletcher and James Wolner, the narrator and writer of the documentary, will both be present at a showing hosted by the Jamestown Arts Center on April 7th.
Schmitz says those who want to join them can show up at 7 PM and with a free-will donation, view the film and ask questions with Fletcher and Wolner in attendance.
The documentary was produced by Click Content Studios, which is part of Forum Communications.
