VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A strong gust of wind caused a trailer pup to flip onto its side in the eastbound lane of Interstate 94 near exit 272 in Barnes County on Wednesday, April 6th about 1:45pm.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol was assisted at the scene by Barnes County Sheriff’s deputies. No injuries were reported at the scene on Interstate 94.

Meanwhile, the Highway Patrol said an eastbound Freightliner on U.S. Highway 2, nearing the top of an overpass over the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) railroad east of Petersburg, N.D. tipped onto its side following a strong gust of wind. The truck tractor slid partially off the roadway and came to rest with the trailer hanging partially over the right-hand guardrail of the overpass on U.S Highway 2 in Nelson County about 12:35pm Wednesday, April 6th.
