BISMARCK, ND. (NewsDakota.com) – Senior Connor Hoyt of the Jamestown High School baseball team earned All-State honors for the first time in his career as the NDHSCA announced its state baseball awards on Tuesday.

Hoyt helped the Blue Jays get back into the state tournament for the first time since 2017 with his performance this season. The left fielder hit leadoff for a portion of the year while Mason Lunzman was out with an injury and provided depth with his pitching ability in relief or as a starter. Hoyt hit above .400 for the year and recorded at least one hit in the last seven games of his Jamestown career.

The Blue Jays ended up as the fifth-place finisher in the state tournament, defeating Century 4-2 in the Consolation Championship game. Jamestown ended the school season with a 15-12 overall record.
