VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Carrie Anderson was introduced as the new In Home Foster Care Supervisor for the Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone Tuesday, Sept. 6.

Anderson previously worked for Child Protective Services since 2017. Prior to that, she worked in Minnesota. She is based out of the Barnes County office. She informed the board she has had some experience with in home cases and foster care cases.

She says with her position in the Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone, she looks forward to more long-term service to foster families.

In other discussion, the Buffalo Bridges Human Service Zone heard the latest regarding the Valley City Office. Director Mandi Freije says she attended the Aug. 16 meeting with information regarding current staff and office spaces on the main level of the courthouse.

Freije says the city will explore some options for future space.

The council requested three weeks to hold discussion on the office space. Freije says she will be attending the city meeting at the end of September.

Freije says they’re also almost fully staffed in the zone.
