Community Fit Challenge, Oakes Homecoming Parade

OAKES, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There’s a lot happening in Oakes this week and the rest of September.

Oakes Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Kausha Magill is encouraging businesses and organizations to consider having a float in the homecoming parade Monday, Sept. 12.

The parade will organize at 2 PM and begin at 2:30 PM.

Magill says chamber member Fitbar is also in a biggest loser challenge with some surrounding communities.

She says participation costs $30 and includes some fitness work and scans.

Magill also shared information about a two-day rummage sale benefitting St. Charles today and tomorrow, CHI Oakes Wellness Wednesdays, flu shot reminders, and their planned wine walk coming later this month.
