Cassidy Jo Burchill Domres, 34, Valley City, North Dakota, passed away August 4, 2023, surrounded by family at the home of her parents and in the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Cassidy Jo Burchill was born September 30, 1988, in Fargo, North Dakota, the daughter of Duane, Jr. and Jolene (Jacobson) Burchill. She graduated from Hope-Page High School in May 2007. After high school she attended MSCTC in Moorhead, MN and NDSCS in Wahpeton, ND for nursing. Cassidy Jo worked at Elim Nursing Home, Fargo, Sheyenne Crossings, West Fargo, ND, Sheyenne Care Center and Mercy Hospital both in Valley City, and St. Alexis in Minot. She moved back to Valley City and decided to take a break from nursing and started working for North Star Ag in Tower City, ND, which she loved.
Cassidy Jo gave birth to the love of her life Kason Harrington on October 24, 2012. She loved her little boy very much and loved to watch him grow.
She married Jeff Domres on June 5, 2021, in Langdon, ND, in their backyard by her brother Preston Burchill.
Cassidy Jo is survived by her son Kason Harrington, husband Jeff Domres; her parents Duane and Jolene Burchill, Valley City; brother Preston (Beth) Burchill and family Reagan Jo, Kennedy and Lincoln, Page, ND; grandmother Gayle Burchill, Page; grandfather Edwin (Marlys) Jacobson, Finley, ND; grandmother Ina Jacobson, Hatton, ND; in-laws, Paul and Linda Domres, Langdon, ND; aunts, uncles and cousins Darren (Pam) Burchill and family Ella and Gabi, Rochester, MN; Doug (Jolynn) Burchill and family Grace and Carter, West Fargo; Dustin (Sarah) Burchill and family Samantha, Ronnie, Annie and Grant, Casselton, ND; Jeff Scott (Sue) Jacobson and family Kassandra and Jennifer, Finley, ND; Jill (John) Mikkelson and family Shelby, Kaitlyn and Karleigh, Aneta, ND; Jeff Sorlien and family Cassandra, Cody, and Courtney, Fargo; cousins, Kaylee Mutscher, Grand Forks, ND and Elisha Ferguson, Grand Forks; and dear friend Miranda Zych who helped in the care of Cassidy Jo.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Duane T. Burchill, Sr., and great grandparents, LaMae and George Lemley, Ronald and Evelyn Burchill, Jacob and Elise Jacobson, Carl and Eunice Gullicks; and cousins Brian Lemley, Marley Fern Fergusson, Aric Bomber and Mollie Jeanne Anderson.
The funeral service for Cassidy Jo will be 2 pm Friday, August 11, at the Hope School Gymnasium, Hope, ND. The visitation will be 5-7 pm Thursday, August 10, at Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City, with a prayer service at 7 pm at the chapel. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the school.
