Head Coach Matt Nielson shared his thoughts about his players performance during the tournament.

“Matthew is continuing to develop his groundstrokes and then putting points away at the net which led to a first round victory. Jack and Adrian have improved this season and it showed with a 8-4 opening match win.”

“Jared and Connor both played singles in the JV tourney after playing doubles together in the West Fargo invite. These two are both looking to make even bigger strides in their games before next season as they want to always be up with the varsity in 2024.”

“ole and Jon had a rough start in the opening round. Then, they moved better, made better decisions on the court, an upped their consistency in their next rounds leading to two wins and a spot in the consolation championship. We got down 1-5, but had a great come back to 5-6 by playing loose. At that point, we let the score enter our minds which is never a good thing in tennis and then dropped the final two games and the match. We will use as a great learning experience for the future so we continue to play loose no matter the point in a match.”
