JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Law enforcement officials in Jamestown, along with the North Dakota Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, have successfully apprehended a high-risk sex offender.

The individual, 39-year-old Anthony Rolland, was being sought by Jamestown Parole and Probation. He is currently being held in the Stutsman County Jail.

Authorities discovered that Rolland’s GPS monitoring bracelet had a dead battery, making it challenging to locate him.

In 2003, Rolland was convicted in Morton County of gross sexual imposition involving a 13-year-old girl. Additionally, he had a juvenile conviction for the same crime in Devils Lake, where the victim was 10 years old. Rolland is registered as a lifetime sex offender.
