WILLISTON – The postseason road may be clearer for Jamestown High School boys basketball, but it still could take an extra step for the Blue Jay girls.

Saturday, the Jamestown girls fell to Williston 58-54, then the Blue Jay boys outlasted the Coyotes in overtime 90-85.

For the Jamestown girls, the loss leaves them at 1-13 in WDA play (4-15 overall).  Through Saturday, they were tied with Williston for eighth in the conference standings.  Friday’s rematch at Jerry Meyer Arena could determine who avoids playing in the play-in game.

The Jamestown boys (6-13, 4-10 WDA) will clinch a spot in the WDA Tournament if Williston loses Tuesday in Bismarck to Legacy or if the Blue Jays defeat the Coyotes Friday at Jerry Meyer Arena.
