DICKINSON – University of Jamestown golf teams picked up wins and other high finishes at the Dickinson State Invitational, which concluded Tuesday at Heart River Golf Course.
The Jimmies’ Orange men’s team won the event at +38 614, 13 shots better than Dickinson State’s “A” team. Jamestown’s Max Noffsinger was first individually at 4-over 148, shooting 79 on Monday and 69 on Tuesday. Jackson Worner (+10) was fourth, Gehrig Geiss (+12) tied for fifth, Aidan Hall (+17) tied for 11th and Logan Schons (+19) tied for 16th.
The Black team was third at 637. Benjamin Schaefer (+15) tied for eighth, Drew Jordan (+16) tied for 10th, Jeremy Williams (+18) tied for 14th, Logan Douglas (+19) tied for 16th and Cole Campbell (+20) tied for 18th.
Also, Aiden McLain (+23) tied for 20th, Ben Hines (+26) was 29th and Easton Romsdal (+28) tied for 30th.
UJ’s women’s teams were second and fourth.
Jamestown’s Orange team was second at 687 (+111), seven strokes behind Montana Tech. Isabella Crawford (+17) was second, Celi Nelson (+25) finished seventh, Kyra Vogel (+31) was ninth, Taylor Martin (+38) was 14th and Karsyn Swigart (+59) tied for 26th.
The Black team was fourth and 762 (+186). Ellie Garavaglia (+42) was 16th, Katelyn Vogel (+45) placed 17th, Peyton Johnson (+46) came 18th, Tori Worner (+54) tied for 21st and Mya Wimer (+66) was 29th.
The Jimmie men will play Monday and Tuesday at the VCSU Invitational in Carrington. The women will play Monday and Tuesday at the GPAC Championships in Spencer, Iowa.
