MINOT – Jamestown High School Boys Golf athletes Jace Dillman and Hunter Gegelman earned state tournament spots with their play Friday in the Minot Invitational at Souris Valley Golf Course.

Dillman shot a 77, recording the Blue Jays’ best individual finish at eighth.  Gegelman shot 79.  All golfers in this event who shot 80 or under assured themselves of making state golf.

As a team, Jamestown was fourth at 322.  Century won the event with 305, followed by Minot North at 309 and Williston at 313.

Also individually for the Blue Jays, Carmon Andersen and Vaughn Romsdal each shot 83, Luke LeFevre had 85, Jackson Jarrett carded an 80, Nate Walz shot 90 and Caleb Schiele scored 92.

Jamestown will play Tuesday at the Mandan Invitational.
