
Fargo, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Rockets rode a huge 4th quarter to beat the Loboes to advance to the State Tournament for the first time since 2019.
The game was back and forth for the entire way in the first half as neither team was able to pull away. The Loboes would lead 10-7 through 1 but Kage Walford and Easton Benz came to life in the 2nd to tie it up at 24-24 going to the locker rooms.
The 2nd half was more of the same as neither team continued to put the other away. The Loboes would use Colby Thielges to get to a 38-34 lead going to the 4th. The Rockets would then find the spark in the 4th with Walford scoring 8 and Easton Simon getting 8 as well to propel them to a 55-47 victory.
The Loboes cinderella run strikes midnight as their season comes to a close at 15-11. The Rockets are back to State.
