GRAND FORKS – Before Tuesday, University of Jamestown Softball had a true hot streak, with 10 straight wins.  Then, an NCAA Division I program cooled the Jimmies off.

Game 1: North Dakota 3, Jamestown 1
Kayla Quintanilla started the game well for Jamestown (24-10) with an RBI single in the top of the first inning. However, she was thrown out at the plate to end the inning, trying to score from second on an infield error.

North Dakota (21-18) scored their runs in the third inning on a two-run double by Makenna Alexander and an RBI single by Katelyn Neumayer.

Hope Ransome (7-5) had her personal four-game winning streak end in the circle. She pitched five innings, giving up three runs and seven hits with four strikeouts, two walks and a hit batter.
