BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) – Governor Kelly Armstrong signed a bill capping the price of insulin at $25 last week.
Because of the bill, this life-saving medication has become vastly more affordable for many North Dakotans. The bill also caps the price of insulin supplies at $25 per month.

Danelle Johnson was one of the bill’s long-time advocates. She said it’s all thanks to the bill’s sponsors and partnering organizations. “All the people navigating life with a chronic illness: you are seen, heard, and valued. Your resilience reminds us of the importance of passion and community,” Johnson said. She said she hopes businesses will view the new law as a way to help workers be more productive and live with a higher quality of health.
