
DICKINSON – Right now, not much seemingly can stop Jamestown Blue Jays Baseball. Dickinson didn’t on Tuesday.
The Blue Jays swept a doubleheader 14-4 and 2-0 at Dakota Community Bank & Trust Ballpark to extend their winning streak to seven games.
Game 1: Jamestown 14, Dickinson 4 (5)
Ethan Oettle had an enormous game for Jamestown (7-4, 6-3 WDA), hitting a grand slam and driving in seven runs. He hit an RBI single in a three-run first inning, a two-run double in a five-run second inning and a grand slam in the third inning.
Thomas Newman and Braxton Perkins each drove in two runs. Kale Verke was four-for-four and scored four runs.
Derek Hatlewick (2-1) pitched four innings, allowing four runs and six hits.
Game 2: Jamestown 2, Dickinson 0
Jaxon Kolpin (3-0) pitched a three-hit shutout and struck out seven as Jamestown (8-4, 7-3 WDA) won for the seventh straight time.
Eddison Walters hit an RBI single in the fourth inning for Jamestown and Brenner Weber doubled the lead with an RBI single in the fifth.
The Blue Jays will next play Friday at Watford City.
