NEW ROCKFORD (NewsDakota)- Too many mistakes. That was the message from Carrington Head Coach Wayne Shipman after a pair of non-region losses to North Star and May Port-CG on Saturday at the Carrington/New Rockford Baseball Jamboree.
North Star 9 Carrington 7
Carrington committed seven errors, walked seven Bearcats and stranded twelve runners, including the bases loaded twice, in falling to North Star. The Cardinals led 2-0 in the first but immediately gave up three in the first and four in the second before attempting a comeback against a Bearcats team that only managed three for the game. Max Whitman had three hits and 2 RBI in the loss.
