BISMARCK – Jamestown Jimmies sophomore Hope Ransome has been named as the NSAA Softball Pitcher of the Week for the second time this season.

Ransome earned a win and a save last Friday in the Jimmies’ sweep of Dickinson State at Trapper Lawrence Field.  In a 6-1 UJ win in game one, Ransome pitched her seventh complete game of the season and 19th as a Jimmie, allowing an unearned run and five hits in seven innings with seven strikeouts and a walk.  As Jamestown rallied for an 8-6 win in the second game, she worked an inning and a third scoreless for her fifth save of the season.

Ransome also pitched Sunday in the Jimmies’ 3-0 loss to the Blue Hawks at Bravera Field in Dickinson, yielding three runs and eight hits in five innings.

Ransome is 10-7 with a 2.58 ERA this season and 23-12 overall in two seasons with eight saves.
