Why take an hour of your time to watch?
Screen time is seeping into the lives of younger and younger kids. As parents, we struggle with what to do. How much time is okay for entertainment screen time? How to set limits? How to handle meltdowns? What does science tell us about why and how to safeguard sleep in our digital age? And so much more. The nation, and indeed the world, is rallying around the growing recognition that social media and excessive screen time are contributing to serious mental health concerns among our youth. To address this, we can focus on prevention by learning the latest research, establishing good habits, and setting boundaries early on.
