
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Community Foundation recently awarded a $1,000 grant for assistance with the Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center’s Women’s Business Conference, a series of on-line workshops plus an in-person event in Jamestown in May, 2025. Some of the topics covered in this business program include servant leadership, financial management, cyber security, USDA rural Development programs, and government certifications. The impact of this program is designed to promote the rural development of municipalities and the sustainability of small businesses in ND by bringing together business communities and sharing best practices.
The Jamestown Regional Entrepreneur Center (JREC) began operations in 2017 and became an incorporated entity in 2018. The aim of the JREC is to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and support the creation of rural startups and the growth of existing businesses among the South Central counties of North Dakota (Stutsman, Wells, Foster, Griggs, Barnes, Logan, LaMoure, McIntosh, and Dickey).
