VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City Public School district teacher Tonya Breckheimer was surprised by Jefferson elementary students, staff members, and family members on Tuesday, May 6th with the announcement that she received the Teacher of the Year Award.
The surprise was sprung on her in the school gym and she was completely taken off guard with this special honor.
Breckheimer is a 3rd grade teacher at Jefferson elementary school and has served in the Valley City school district since 2004.
Many described Tonya as a kind, caring and compassionate educator who builds strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues.
