
THOMPSON (NewsDakota)- The Carrington baseball team took part in Baseball Day in Thompson on Friday, falling to a superb Park River-FL team before ending their losing streak with a win in the second game.
GAME ONE: Park River-FL 17 Carrington 5
Carrington allowed eighteen free passes (eight walks, five errors, and five hit batsmen) in falling to the Aggies. Tate Wolsky had three hits and both RBI in the game for the Cardinals, who fell behind 7-0 in the second before closing to within 7-3, but could get no closer in dropping their ninth straight game.

GAME TWO: Carrington 8 Shiloh Christian 5
A back-and-forth game saw the Cardinals (3-12) take the lead for good in the last of the fifth with a three-run frame as seven of the nine starters recorded a hit for Carrington, who snapped their nine-game losing streak. Ethan Roller and Jameson Kutz each had two RBI in the game and Wolsky tossed a complete game and struck out seven.
