
VALLEY CITY – Jamestown Blue Jay Track & Field swept team wins Monday in the Bill Jansen Last Chance meet at Hanna Field.
The Blue Jay girls scored 134.5 points, edging Valley City by six and a half points. Jamestown’s boys, with 160 points, were 48.5 points better than Kindred.
Julia Skari won both the 100m and 300m hurdles for the Jamestown girls. Layna Hoffer won the high jump and Hayden Olson captured the triple jump.
Winners for the JHS boys included Heath Heupel in the 400 meters, Micah Stoudt in the 1600 meters, Jared Sagaser in the 110m hurdles, Brady Harty in the 300m hurdles, the 4×100 relay team of Gradin Thorlakson, Tristan Williams, Aidan Skari and Ryan Kallenbach and the 4×400 relay team of Sagaser, Stoudt, Heupel and Iddi Ramadhani.
The West Region track & field meet is scheduled for Friday at the MDU Resources Community Bowl in Bismarck.
