
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Softball has had an up-&-down 2025 season. On Monday, the home schedule ended on an uptick.
A five-run first inning propelled Jamestown to a 7-0 non-conference win over West Fargo at Trapper Lawrence Field.
Brooke Jackson started the big opening inning for the Blue Jays (15-11-1) with a triple, then scored on a Jaelyn Sloan single. Avery Graves doubled in the inning’s second run. A passed ball brought home the third. Jordan Mikkelson singled in the fourth run and winning pitcher Maddie Hoff (8-6) drove in the fifth with another single.
Brynn Sorenson made the Blue Jay lead 6-0 with a fifth inning sacrifice fly. A passed ball scored the final run in the seventh.
Hoff (four innings) and Sloan (three innings) combined on a three-hit shutout with seven strikeouts, with Sloan fanning six.
Jamestown will end the regular season with a WDA doubleheader against Legacy Tuesday in Bismarck.
