VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Tee Up for a Cause: “Drive to Thrive” Golf Scramble Supports Recreation for All The Valley City Parks & Recreation Foundation is proud to announce its upcoming Drive to Thrive Golf Scramble, set for Friday, June 20 at Bjornson Park Public Golf Course.

The event begins with a 10:00 AM shotgun start and features a 4-person, 18-hole scramble with hole prizes. Team registration is $300 and includes a cart and meal for players. More than just a golf tournament, the Drive to Thrive Scramble is a fundraiser with a mission: to ensure that every member of our community—regardless of age, income, or
ability—has access to recreation opportunities that improve quality of life.

Proceeds from the event will support financial scholarships for youth and adults in need and help the Valley City Parks & Recreation Foundation expand its offerings to include more inclusive events and activities for the entire community.
“This tournament is a great way to not only enjoy a fun day on the course, but open doors for members in our community to have access to all parks and recreation has to offer,” says event chair, Hilary Flatt. “When you register a team, you are helping a child join tennis or t-ball, an adult gain access to the Gaukler Family Wellness Center, or a family participate in an event that creates lasting memories. We’re excited to be able to host this tournament
and encourage anyone interested to join us in making a difference in our community!”

Registration is open now. To sign up, visit the Gaukler Family Wellness Center or email Patrick at patrickj@vcparks.com.
