
Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – The Oakes Tornadoes had a 2 run lead through 4 innings of play but they were unable to hold onto it. They would fall to the Northern Cass Jaguars by a final score of 8-2.
The game started with James Throener throwing 2 good innings in his start allowing a hit and a walk in his start. The Tornadoes would get started with a Throener double in the 1st followed by a sac-bunt to move him over to 3rd by Harry Neuestal. Throener would then come home due to an E1 throw to first making it 1-0 through 1.
The Tornadoes would then score again in the 3rd after Neustal would walk aboard. He’d get to 2nd on a Titus single and score after a couple errors making it 2-0 through 3.
Titus would replace Wagner on the mound in the 5th and he’d walk 3 straight before Deagan Roerich came in. He’d walk 2 more before getting the 1st out of the 5th. Matthew Hoppe would then single to drive in the go-ahead run. There would be another walk driving home a 4th run. There would be a couple more runs off of an error and fielders choice making it 6-2.
Oakes would not have a response for the rest of the game as the Jags would score 2 more off of 3 hits in the 7th making the final score 8-2.
The winning pitcher was Parker Anderson (2.1 IP, 0 H, 1 BB, 2 K) the losing pitcher was Chris Titus (0.0 IP, 3 BB’s, 3 R, 3 ER). The Bank North Player of the Game was Brooks Domine (3.0 IP, 2 H, 0 BB, 3 K, 2 R, 1 ER).
