
JAMESTOWN – Five different players scored as Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Soccer registered a 5-0 shutout over Bismarck High Saturday at Rotary Field.
Belle Sjostrom, set up by Layla Becker with the first of her three assists, scored in the first minute for the Blue Jays (9-2-2).
Haley Attleson, assisted by Becker, doubled the lead for Jamestown in the 21st minute.
Hannah Attleson gave JHS a 3-0 lead in the 24th minute.
Becker’s third assist set up a goal by Gracelin Challeen in the 33rd minute and Jamestown led 4-0 at halftime.
Hadley Jackson closed the scoring in the 45th minute with a Hannah Attleson assist.
Jamestown, with 29 points, is tied for second in the WDA standings with Mandan. Ahead for the Blue Jays are games at Legacy Tuesday, at Century Thursday and at Minot North Saturday in the completion of a suspended game from May 8. Just one win or two draws are needed from those matches for Jamestown to earn a spot in the state tournament, which is set to begin May 29 in West Fargo.
