
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – There was a police presence this morning on the corner of 1st Ave. and 2nd St. SE. Preliminary reports indicate it was an unattended death.
Update Per JPD Press Release:
On May 20, 2025, at approximately 0906 hrs., Jamestown Police were called to an entrance of an apartment building in the 200 block of 1 Ave S. The property owner reported finding a male laying at the bottom of a stairwell and he appeared to be deceased. Upon arrival, Jamestown Police determined the male had been deceased for several hours. The male appears to be Caucasian or American Indian descent, 25-40 years old, approximately 5”10 inches tall, and weighs between 165-185 lbs. The male has a scruffy black beard with a full goatee, black hair, and was wearing multi-colored “Converse All-Star” shoes. The male did not have any form of identification on him. He does have several distinguishable tattoos on his left arm, left abdomen, left chest, and left shoulder.
Currently, the death of the male does not appear to be suspicious, but the investigation continues. There have been significant leads developed on the individual’s identity which are currently being investigated, so next-of-kin can be located and notified. At this time, we are not releasing further description about the deceased party, until time allows for follow up on the leads we have established.
