MINOT – Big offense kept the 2025 Jamestown Blue Jay softball season going, at least for one more game.

The Blue Jays smacked 15 hits and drew eight walks Friday in a 15-5 win over Minot North in an elimination game of the Class A West Region softball tournament at the Scheels Softball Complex.

Rilie Wolf and Megan Jarrett each drove in three runs for Jamestown (17-13-1).  Sophia Bond had three hits.  Brynn Sorenson, Jordan Mikkelson, Brooke Jackson and winning pitcher Maddie Hoff had two hits each.

Jamestown led 7-0 after two innings after scoring five first inning runs and two more in the second.  The Jays tallied three more in the fifth inning and five in the sixth to end the game early.

Hoff (10-8) pitched a complete game and struck out three.

Jamestown will play in a state qualifier game on Saturday, with first pitch scheduled for 11:00 AM.
