MINOT – Bismarck High scored five runs in the first two innings Saturday on their way to a 10-0 win over Jamestown in a state qualifying game of the Class A West Region softball tournament at the Scheels Softball Complex.

Bailey Kautzman and Cameron Braun hit RBI singles for the Demons in a two-run first inning.  BHS scored three more in the third on a passed ball, an RBI groundout by Braun and a run-scoring single by Izzy Owens.

Owens drove in another run with a single in the fourth, then the Demons ended the game with four in the fifth.  Winning pitcher Mya Jones singled in the first run, Josie Schell singled in the next two, then Kautzman ended the game with a sacrifice fly.

Jamestown (17-14-1) was held to three singles.  Maddie Hoff (10-9), starting in the circle for the third straight day, allowed five runs, four hits and two walks in three innings.
