VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several young people from the Barnes, Dickey, LaMoure, Ransom and Sargent counties took steps toward reaching their full potential as capable, competent, and caring citizens by participating in the Extension 4-H Communication Arts District Contest held Wednesday, May 28 in Marion, ND.
The contest was one of many “learn by doing” events that North Dakota State University Extension offers through its 4-H and Youth Development program. The Communication Arts program is designed to provide opportunities for youth to develop organizational skills, communication skills, and confidence. These life skills and assets will be of great use, benefit, and value to the youth now and throughout their lifetime.
4-H is the youth component of NDSU Extension. 4-H programs are open to all interested youth between the ages of five and 18. Contact NDSU Extension Barnes County at susan.milender@ndsu.edu or 845- 8528 for more information.
