
Jamestown Blue Jays Jaxon Kolpin and Thomas Newman, both seniors, were named by the North Dakota High School Coaches Association to its Class A Baseball All-State team.
Kolpin was the Blue Jays’ leading hitter at .361 and the team RBI leader with 22. He hit five doubles and a triple and stole seven bases. Kolpin was also the team’s leading pitching winner, with a 4-4 record and 1.69 ERA.
Newman hit .315 with 17 RBI and stole 30 bases in 32 attempts. He also was 2-1 on the mound with a 2.19 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 22 and a third innings.
