
MINOT – A better second day led to a good finish of the season for Jamestown Blue Jay Boys Golf.
The Blue Jays made a 15-shot improvement over a day to finish sixth in the NDHSAA Class A Boys State Golf Championship, which concluded Wednesday at Vardon Golf Club.
Jamestown, which shot 322 on Tuesday, improved to 307 on Wednesday, led by Vaughn Romsdal, who fired a 73, his best round of the season. Romsdal was the best individual finisher for Jamestown, in 13th at 154 (81-73).
Also for the Blue Jays, Jace Dillman was 22nd, shooting 156 (79-77). Nate Walz had 158 (81-77). Luke LeFevre finished at 161 (81-80). Hunter Gegelman carded 162 (81-81). Griffin Gegelman shot 174 (88-86).
Minot North won its first team state title, shooting 606. The medalist was Parker Beck of Century who shot 134 with consecutive rounds of 67.
