VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The District 24 Democratic-NPLers celebrate the successful passing of the bond referendum by Valley City Public Schools. With a strong 62% voter approval, this important step marks a clear commitment by the community to invest in the future of local public education and the next generation of students.
The bond will support the construction of a new school, a project that will ensure that Valley City’s children have access to modern, safe, and effective learning environments. As we continue to advocate for equitable funding and support for our rural schools, we are reminded that strong communities are built on strong public institutions, and public education is at the heart of that foundation.
“This successful bond vote demonstrates the power of civic engagement and the community’s belief in the importance of investing in our schools,” said Linda Brastrup Johnson, Chair of the District 24 Dem-NPL Party. “District 24 Dems are proud to stand alongside efforts that prioritize our students and the infrastructure they need to succeed in the future.”
The District 24 Democratic-NPL believes this is just the beginning. We encourage continued collaboration between local governments, school districts, and state legislators to ensure our children receive the education they deserve. It’s time to build a future where all students, regardless of their zip code, have access to the resources and opportunities needed to thrive.
We look forward to supporting and working with community leaders like Superintendent Josh Johnson to continue this positive momentum.
The District 24 Democratic-NPL Party of Barnes and Ransom Counties is committed to advocating for policies that strengthen and protect our public schools. We are dedicated to working with local leaders to ensure that every student has access to the quality education they need.
