HUNTER, N.D. (NDHP) – A Florida man died in a two vehicle crash on Wednesday, June 11 at approximately 8:25 PM south of Hunter, North Dakota.

The Highway Patrol said a 2026 Western Star cement truck was traveling west on Cass County Road 26, the driver failed to stop at intersection of Cass County Road 26 and Highway 18. A 2023 Kenworth towing a 2015 Trinity live bottom trailer was traveling north and struck the Western Star truck. The driver of the cement truck a 34-year-old Florida man died at the scene. The driver of the Kenworth a 78-year-old man from Minto, North Dakota was transported to Sanford Health. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.

Other agencies assisting at the scene included the Cass County Sheriff’s Office, Sanford Ambulance-Fargo, Hunter Ambulance Service, Arthur Volunteer Fire Department, Hunter Volunteer Fire Department, and the Grandin-Gardner Fire Department.
