EDGELEY (NewsDakota)- After a long wait, Carrington Post 25 baseball got their 2025 summer underway on Monday night, but it was Edgeley who just squeaked by.

Ross Fredenburg delivered a walk-off single in the last of the seventh inning as Edgeley Post 146 defeated Carrington Post 25 by a count of 4-3 at the Edgeley Youth Complex.

Carrington struck in the first as Josh Bickett reached on an error, Jacob Boeshans singled up the middle, and Kyle Johnson delivered both with a 2-run single to right center for the early lead.

After the teams split the next two runs, it was Drew Thorpe delivering a 2-run double in the third inning that tied the game at three.  From there, the pitching took over as Post 25’s Tate Wolsky and the combination of Post 146’s Damian Carlson and Jacob Nitschke hung zeros until the seventh, when Boeshans relieved Wolsky and Edgeley made their game winning rally.

Carrington return to play on Monday visiting Sheyenne-New Rockford with coverage on KDAK The Cardinal beginning at 4:45pm.
