PINGREE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) -Pingree Transload celebrated an open house on Tuesday June 17th at their new facility. During the celebration attendees could tour the facility, meet the Pingree Transload & Peterson Farms Seed Team, Hear from Carl Peterson, enjoy free refreshments, and see how this investment benefits our region. This new facility connects area farmers to premium markets for identity-preserved and specialty crops-offering price premiums, cost savings, and transportation efficiencies for regional delivery and storage.

This facility had their first load of grain dumped in December and immediately started shipping it out. The new facility sits on 16 acres which will allow them to expand in the future if need be, right now they can hold up to 300,000 bushels of grain. This facility can load in 15,000 bushels an hour and load out 20,000 bushels an hour. It takes the facility approximately 18 minutes to unload a truck while a rail car takes up to 20 minutes.
