MANDAN – Mandan Chiefs rallied from an early 4-1 deficit Monday to defeat the Jamestown Eagles 11-6 in a nine-inning non-counter game at Mandan Veteran’s Memorial Ballpark.

Kale Verke had an RBI single and Bennett Goehner an RBI double in a three-run third inning and Jamestown (6-14) led 4-1.  Mandan scored three in the home third before Jamestown took the lead again in the fifth on a run-scoring single by Nolan Maulding in his Eagles’ debut.

Mandan then gained the lead for good in the bottom of the fifth on two-run singles by Ty Weiler and Gage Miller.

Hudson Rode scored three runs for the Eagles.

Jamestown will return to AA play Tuesday with a doubleheader against Bismarck at Jack Brown Stadium.  Coverage of game one will begin at 5:15 Tuesday on Jamestown 107.1.
