Oakes, ND (NewsDakota.com) – After a tight back and forth game Enderlin P221 took home the victory against Oakes P36 with a final score of 7-4 after 8 innings.

The game started with a quick Enderlin walk and a triple to give them a 1-0 lead. They’d score 1 more run off of an error to make it 2-0. Oakes would score a run after a James Throener lead off triple and a Chris Titus single to make it 2-1 through 1. Oakes would get 2 more runs off of 2 hits and 2 errors in the 2nd to take a 3-2 lead. That lead would quickly disappear as Ethan Cimbura would get aboard and then eventually be driven home by Gabe Hoy to tie the game at 3-3. Enderlin would score in the 4th as Bradyn Lemnus would single and eventually be driven home by a sac fly from Jacob Cimbura making it 4-3. Oakes would battle in the bottom of the 5th with Zade Heier doubling then stealing 3rd base before scoring on a wild pitch to tie it at 4-4.

Neither team would score again till the top of the 8th as Enderlin would get their first 2 men aboard. Their would then be 2 quick fielders choices to make it 2 on with 2 outs. However 2 singles and a walk later would result in a Enderlin 7-4 lead. Oakes would threaten in the bottom half of the inning but strand the tying run at the plate resulting in a final score of 7-4.

It was a no contest for the starting pitchers with Ethan Cimbura (2.0 IP, 1 H, 2 BB, 3 K, 0 R) getting the win after coming in relief of Jacob Cimbura (6.0 IP, 7 H, 4 BB, 8 K, 4 R, 2 ER). Jace Fyre (1.0 IP, 4 H, 1 BB, 3 R, 3 ER) got the loss coming in relief of James Throener (7.0 IP, 9 H, 3 BB, 4 K, 4 R, 3 ER).
