
JAMESTOWN, N.D. (JPR) -Jamestown Parks and Recreation held an emergency meeting on Monday June 23, 2025 and passed an emergency declaration to limit access to City Parks that pose a safety risk.
At this time the following locations and facilities are open for use:

Two Rivers Activity Center- Operating normal hours. Only the bubble is not available for use. OnTRAC Learning Center operating normal hours.

Hillcrest Golf Course- Operating normal hours. Avoid areas with downed trees.

Winter Sports Building- Operating normal hours.

Playing Fields and Courts to include Hillcrest Softball Complex, Jaycee Soccer Complex, Bollinger Tennis Courts, Feton Courts, McElroy Park Softball Fields, Trapper Field and Jack Brown Stadium are open to play.

The following parks are open; Peppers Dog Park, Big Meidinger (Kite flying area), Bucholtz, Feton, and Leapaldt. Please avoid any downed trees.

The summer parks program will held at Leapaldt Park only beginning Tuesday June 24th.

Free summer meals will be served from 11:30-12:00 at Leapaldt Park and the JPRD office (1002 2nd Ave SE). These shelf stable meals are available for free to all children 18 years and under.
The following parks will remain closed until trees are removed and the safety of community members can be ensured. No one should drive, walk/run, or bike in these facilities;

Little Meidinger (playground and picnic shelter) Park

Solien Denault Park and Sensory Garden

White Cloud Trail and the Pipestem system of trails
We ask for the community’s support during this challenging time and please avoid the parks that remain closed. Our staff is working hard to remove the fallen trees and return access to the parks as soon as it is safe.
