VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Bridges Arts Council is excited to bring you a new group on Wednesday, July 2. Kohlabri Soup based out of Fargo, will be sharing their talents starting at 7:15 pm at the VCSU Larry J. Robinson Center for the Arts due to the downed trees in City Park after the storm.

Kohlrabi Soup is a 5-piece bluegrass band based out of Fargo, North Dakota, with members across the Red River Valley. Kohlrabi Soup started with a downtown Fargo taproom show in the spring of 2022. Since then,
Kohlrabi Soup has discovered a regional presence at bluegrass festivals and special events in North Dakota
and Minnesota.

Kohlrabi Soup draws inspiration from traditional Tennessee bluegrass music and brings this inspiration to a mix of old standards, contemporary covers, and original music. Kohlrabi Soup features Valley City’s Joe Andrus on banjo, Aaron Niehaus on fiddle, Steve Burket on guitar, Jeff Meek on mandolin, and Joey Pettit on upright bass. Expect tasty licks and tight harmonies!

Each week a freewill offering is taken to support the City Park Bandshell and Music in the Park. Once again, due to inclement weather and tree damage in City Park, the program will be moved to the Larry J. Robinson Center for the Arts on the VCSU campus.
